The Buzz Begins
Viewpoints Meets the Press. Yes, you heard it right. Today was an active press day. A couple of quick highlights:
1. As you all probably know by the flood of news stories, YouTube has decided to share some of their ad profits with top video creators. They believe that they can increase the overall quality of content if there is a pay model. In response to the announcement, The Chicago Tribune interviewed a few of our writers see what they thought about the pay model. (interesting since we just talked about it!) You can see the article here. This ran as a lead article on the cover of the paper.
2. Matt Moog, our CEO, was also interviewed for nearly an hour last night on the radio. We are working to get a copy of the interview and will plan to post it on www.viewpoints.com as soon as we get access.
3. I mentioned to several of you that Matt Moog will be in the February issue of Fortune Small Business. Although we haven't seen a copy of the print magazine yet, from the online posting, it looks like our trusty Mr. Moog made it on the cover. Check it out. He is the guy on the left-- if my eyes aren't failing me.
This is just the beginning of a lot of great buzz. We look forward to much more. (I say as I keep my fingers crossed) And, of course, including all of you in the process and success.
Speaking of-- here's an insiders tip-- we have decided to offer a gift to the first 1000 people that sign up for the beta. We are not publicizing it on the site. So, encourage your friends and acquaintances to sign up NOW if they want to receive the exclusive present. It will only be sent to the first 1000 people!

You're spot-on that the Buzz is starting to begin with POI Social Networking sites. I saw the article in the Tribune, best of luck.
