A little trash talk never hurt!

Thanks everyone for tuning in daily to read my scribbles. Based on your feedback, each week, I will plan to give you a few company updates, market updates, as well as feature a site contributor. In between, I will sprinkle my random and often color commentary on everything and anything.

Since I already featured Todd and Scott (still love the photo) and I gave you an update yesterday on company happenings, today is reserved for my RANDOM thoughts. And, today, I resort to trash talk.

My Trash Talk
Anybody that knows me well, knows I like a little celebrity trash/gossip now and again. I am an avid People reader, InStyle reader, and have even been known to browse the tabloids at the grocery checkout. In the spirit of Grammy week, I thought I would make a few color comments on the celebrity scene. It's fun to talk trash now and then. Here's my weekly celebrity gossip round-up.

1. I have a soft spot for American Idol.
Congratulations to Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson for all that they have been able to accomplish since appearing on the show. I love the fact that anyone has a chance at Stardom!

2. Latifah is definitely a Queen.
Queen Latifah announced this week that she is planning to adopt here in the states. While I think Brangelina (Brad and Angelina Jolie) do a lot of really valuable work, I really appreciate someone looking inward at all the needy kids here on U.S. soil.

3. Parenting Gone Wrong.
Someone needs to tell Brittany Spears that fishnets (on one leg nonetheless) and a shirt down to her navel aren't terribly becoming. And, Daddy Simpson needs to back off. Can Jessica even go to the restroom without her Dad?

4. A Touch of Class
There are a few celebrities that always look graceful and put together. To name a few: Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Nicole Kidman. I wish a few others could take some pointers from them.

5. Back off- Banks is Beautiful.
Poor Tyra Banks. Give this woman a break. She looks fabulous! I am so glad to see someone pushing back at the press for weighing a little more than the average 90 pound model.

You know how I feel about Tyra. She's super and a terrific role model. She'll make a terrific mom. She said today or yesterday I think that she is thinking about adopting.

My pick for the American Idol this season (I too am an avid fan.) is the back up singer. There are two but this one is the guy. I believe his name is Brandon Rogers.

I am:

tv watcher, knitter, tv show taper, music lover

I, too, am an Idol watcher. Reality shows which have to do with real talent, and people getting a shot at their dream, are cool, even with the drama the networks make sure gets thrown in. Other cool competition shows include Top Chef Top Designer and So You Think You Can Dance?.

I bought Chris Daughtry's album and have downloaded several songs from the past season of Idol. Now can someone please do something to get Elliott Yamin a record deal?

I watch Idol as well and miss the rockers and hotties but will survive.;)

Did you see Britney is now bald? Oh brother!

Tyra is a beautiful woman and a role model. This whole "Is she fat thing" is sad considering the likes of Nicole Richie and all the others who are starving to death.

And I am amazed that there is NO mention of Anna Nicole Smith here. It's everywhere! I have been way too concerned with the details of the whole thing and am not sure why. Maybe because I have a 21 year old son and I was deeply hurt for Anna (Although I was never a fan of hers in any way) when her son died so suddenly the way he did.

Then it just got crazier and crazier and is now a circus. There is a little 5 month old baby girl who everyone seems to be forgetting about. She should be the top and main concern. I could go on and on but why? It is what it is.
