Advertisers will link to your reviews-- if you just let them know!
Check this out! Old Time Candy linked to Patty's Valentine's Day review on their home page. Scroll down to the bottom. They mention an independent reviewer aka "patty". CONGRATS, PATTY-- that is totally cool! We love it....
Have you ever tried this? If not, give it a try. Small companies LOVE to know when they have a product that someone loves. :) Let them know that you wrote a good review. Let them know that you wrote a bad review. Bottom line-- just tell them-- share your thoughts!!!!!!!
While I am on the topic of linking, we need your help. Did you know that links from other quality sites (legitimate sites) help establish where your reviews appear in the search engines. So, the more legitimate sites that link to us, the more prominent our reviews will show up when someone searches.
So, how can you help?
1. Do you write on other sites? If so, consider linking to some of your viewpoints reviews to show people your work. For example, if you were writing a review on Baby Safety products, consider a adding a link to your viewpoints car seat review within your article. Or, feature great products like Cyndi's ass blaster in your article. (now that was funny!)
2. Consider adding a 'signature' to all your work online that includes your status at Viewpoints. Laura Belle does this and it sends lots of eyeballs to her reviews at Viewpoints. This is a great way to spread the word. Thanks, Laura.
3. Have a blog? Link from there to your VP reviews. Tell people you are a review writer with status. It's another great resource for helping to get the word out about Viewpoints and drive traffic to your page. If you are freelancing, it also gives you a respository of all of your quality work.
4.Do you know someone that has a popular blog or maintains a resource page for their community or college? If so, ask them to add a link to Viewpoints or to the category that they most write in-- this helps get the word out that we are good resource.
Oh, and the links outside the site arent all that matter to help people find your reviews.
Did you know that you can link from one review to the next at Viewpoints? It's simple. Just write your text in your review, HIGHLIGHT the text and then click on the little link chain icon in your review toolbar. Then, copy and paste the URL into the box on your screen. Why is this great? Well, it allows you to highlight another one of your reviews that perhaps wasnt found yet.
If we all link to VP and get the word out, hopefully we have help people make smarter decisions one purchase at a time!
Thanks everyone for all that you do!

You might also want to tell people that they can link any and all TV or Movie reviews on www.imdb.com
Just go to imdb.com, look up the movie or show, and hit "External Reviews" on the side for that movie. You can then add a link to your Viewpoint of it! For the title of the link, you should put something like Viewpoints [vivasuzi]
I have not done this for all my movie reviews yet but it is in my plan! I used to do this on other sites and I think it is a great way to get attention to your review.
Awesome Idea. Thanks so much for the suggestion!!!
