Viewpoints first "review"; Now that's ironic.
Here is a review of Viewpoints that was posted online this morning. I think the article is fair given our early stage. But, more importantly, I think the comments (albeit 3 of them) are even more spot on.

That's an interesting and balanced review. I have to admit to not understanding all the references to Web 2, but understand the gist of what he's saying.
100,000 users? Is that the number of unique users that have accessed the site? I can't believe that there are 100,000 members/reviewers.

That 100,000 number stood out to me too. I have no idea where that comes from.
Otherwise, aside from some of it being over my head, I think at this stage, it was a fair review.
I do agree that eventually we will have to have some way of rating reviews as we grow. Perhaps the choice or two good points or one, anonymously. I don't know if that will help or make any difference but it would be nice to give the less "whimsical" reviews an extra pat on the back so to speak.
I think, in 6 months, the reviewer should come back and see if we have grown and changed at all. I think he will see we have. :)

Just to clarify-- we have had 100k unique visitors to the site. Not reviewers. :) We wish... hehehe.
Thanks for clarifying that #, Jolie. I too like the others commented when I read it. The author made some good points but unless he is inside any of these sites (and when I mean inside I mean as reviewer) I think his perspective may be a little off. Like Bob I haven't a clue what a Web any thing means though I do understand the widget concept. Like Patty at some point some kind of rating (Please nothing like epinions!) system will have to be used. I really hesitate to even use the word rating because that is such a turn off and one of the real nice aspects of writing here.
Perhaps some kind of quality control... I know VPs doesn't want reviews monitored/moderated but to ensure "real" reviews that are short, to the point yet more than one sentence will be important.
If none of this makes sense remember I've been on two volcanoes for the last week waiting for the last one to erupt! jo
